Alert: Lucky For Life Winner Sold in New Haven County

Could the winner be you?

Almost one year ago, a newlywed Branford couple, the Cahills, scored big winning the CT Lottery's . Now another winner may be in our midst.

According to the CT Lottery, "History was made last night as the first top prize for the recently launched “Lucky for Life” Lottery draw game was won by a CT Lottery player!"

The solo winning ticket, sold Monday April 30 in New Haven County, contains the winning numbers 03-09-10-11-34 with the Lucky Ball number, 19. The winner will receive $1,000 a day, for life. Drawings are held every Monday and Thursday.

According to the CT Lottery, 26,473 winning tickets were sold for Monday's “Lucky for Life” drawing. 

CT Lottery’s President and CEO, Anne M. Noble, is urging players to check their tickets.  “At this time, we don’t know who the winner is, so I am urging everyone to check their tickets, and to sign all winning tickets immediately to establish ownership.  We’re eagerly awaiting our winner to come down to the CT Lottery headquarters to claim their prize!”

The maximum guaranteed amount a top prize winner could receive from "Lucky for Life" is $7,300,000 ($1,000 a day for 20 years), but winners who live longer than that will receive prize payments for the remainder of their natural life.

To date, more than 417,000 winning “Lucky” tickets have been sold in Connecticut.

"Lucky for Life" was recently launched on March 11 and is the first New England-only" lottery game in the region's history.  Draw game tickets and prizes expire 180 days from the date of draw.  Winning tickets for Lucky for Life must be redeemed in the state where purchased.
