Stratford - Today's July Jobs report shows unemployment at 8.3%. Christopher Shays, Republican candidate for United States Senate had this to say:

How about it Chris, will you be just another obstructionist Republican in congress or will you try to work with the President? The house in particular has voted on 33 bills to defund healthcare and nearly that many abortion bills. Will you succumb to the tea party or are you willing to work across the aisle and have the courage to do what's right not just pander to your right wing base?

WE supposedly elect…Read More people who take the trust of the people with them when elected and do the will of WE THE PEOPLE. This has never happened. Especially in state and federal office. Once in office the power they discover they now have pushes aside the will of the people. It an attitude of we have the power and you don't. Someday, but I doubt it, we can elect those who will not loose site of why they were elected.
