Connecticut Gas Prices Are Skyrocketing

Prices recently hit $4 in East Haven and throughout the state — and they keep on rising.

Gas prices in East Haven and throughout Connecticut continue to rise, with the average price per gallon now at $4.07, according to price tracking website ConnecticutGasPrices.com.

Despite the rise, analyst Patrick DeHaan of GasBuddy.com — the parent company of ConnecticutGasPries.com — thinks prices will drop soon.

"Even with Isaac long gone, the oil industry is still bringing capacity back online- at refineries and oil rigs, which is keeping pressure on prices," DeHaan said in a press release. "Supply remains tight across the country as we slowly approach the transition to winter-spec gasoline, but I continue to be firm in believing that the national average will start to decline towards the end of September, as is typically the case.”

The national average is $3.82 per gallon.

But wait there CA, danny boy just got back from his tax payer funded trip to China to get them to buy CT products. When that happens, more goods will be sold, bringing in more taxes, thus what we pay now will be reduced. Right, as if China wants to buy anything made in Ct never mind in the USA. If I'm not mistaken it's the other way a round. Just a waste of tax payers money so he could joy ride around China.

Blame Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. That alleged despot has the gall to charge his people about 7 CENTS A GALLON for gasoline (4 CENTS FOR A GALLON OF DIESEL); much to the detriment of global oil corporations and their puppet governments around the world. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gasoline_and_diesel_usage_and_pricing
