Own an East Haven small business? Or a big fan of one? Then support them by passing along your nomination to Cash Mob CT — but you've got to do it fast!
Over the least few years the cash mob movement has swept across the country.
A cash mob is just as it sounds: a group of area residents show up at one local business with cash at hand — generally about $20 — and then spend their funds all in that one place in an effort to show some purchasing-power love.
Each mob serves as a vehicle to raise awareness of the importance of supporting a community's local small businesses.
And now Cash Mob CT, run by Visit New Haven, is seeking nominations for an East Haven business to, well — mob with cash.
The only hitch: the nomination period ends this Friday, Aug. 17, at 5 p.m. So time is of the essence!
Nominations can be passed along by posting them as a comment on Cash Mob CT's Facebook page, or by tweeting them to @CashMobCT.
So, get out there an post that comment or send that tweet — and swamp your favorite East Haven small business with cold, hard cash.
