Irish youth folklore troop Tigh Na Coille will be making a stop in this week as part of their current international tour.
The group, whose name is properly pronounced "Tig-na-kwilla" in Gaelic, is made up of several 11- to 17-year-olds from County Clare, Ireland.
The members perform traditional Irish music on a wide range of instruments including: fiddle, harp, uileann pipes, flute, concertina, and tin whistle.
Under the direction of award-winning master fiddler and recording artist Denis Liddy and his wife Elvie Miller, the troop presents a program of traditional Irish music that includes instrumental pieces, as well as some singing and set dancing in the County Clare style, a style renowned for its rich tradition.
The program encourages audience participation and is suitable for all ages. Tickets are $10.
