The Red Hill Rockers are playing at a benefit concert for the Shore line Trolley Museum. The Rockers are known throughout the New Haven area for their lively renditions of rock music from the 70’s and 80’s. The event is BYOB and includes a ride on a 100 year old trolley car to arrive at the trolley yard were the Rockers will be blasting out their rocking tunes. There is a suggested minimum donation of $20.00 per person at the event. There is plenty of free parking in the Museum parking lot at 17 River St. East Haven.

So pack up a picnic basket and head down to the Shore Line Trolley Museum for a rocking night compliments of the Red Hill Rockers! There is nothing like live music under the stars!! For more information contact the Shore Line Trolley Museum at info@shorelinetrolley.org or 203-467-6927.

The benefit will support the Museum’s “Elevating the Collection” Campaign whose purpose is to build two new trolley storage buildings that would protect the collection from flooding from the likes of Tropical Storm Irene of last summer. When Irene struck, 93 of the museums 95 streetcars were inundated with salt water in their motors leaving the cars in-operable. This Campaign will elevate the Museum’s iconic, priceless collection of100 plus year old trolley cars a higher elevation of 13,  8 feet above their current storage height and 2 feet above the 1938 hurricane flood stage.

The Shore Line Trolley Museum is a 501 (c)3 educational organization dedicated to preserving the history of the trolley service in the United States by car restorations and educational programs. All funds from this event will directly support the “Elevating the Collection” Campaign. Additional information about the Campaign may be found at www.elevatingthecollection.com
