Liz McNicholl & the Crickstones at the Library

Liz, who leads our delightful Musical Folk sessions for young children during the summer, started her own Connecticut based band in 2002. Now called “The Crickstones”, the band features some of the finest musicians in the area. Their sound has evolved into a crisp blend of folk, americana & bluegrass styles over the years with many originals songs and tunes intertwined in their repertoire. The Crickstones consist of Liz McNicholl (guitar), John Hurley (guitar/mandolin), Fred McKay (bass), and Peter Blossom (dobro/guitar). Their self titled Crickstones debut CD was released Oct 2009 featuring many of their original tunes!
