Behold the Sea! Concert & Art Show

750 Chase Pkwy Waterbury CT 06708  See map

The CT Choral Society will be joining forces with the NJ Choral Society, world-class soloists, and a symphonic orchestra in a rare performance of "A Sea Symphony" - a work of power and grandeur. Ralph Vaughan Williams has set the poetry of Walt Whitman in a work that is at once a symphony and an oratorio, operatic in scope and theatricality - exquisite music that will inspire your dreams of the sea.

Featuring Jessica Rivera, soprano ("Vocally luminous" - The New York Times) and Mark Womack, baritone ("His voice, both its strength and its beauty, nearly knocked me off my chair." - Opera News).

Audience members will have the opportunity to attend an exclusive art exhibit ("Visions of the Sea") at 1 pm, followed by a pre-concert lecture (The Nautical Legacy of Ralph Vaughan Williams) at 2 pm, plus a post-concert reception.

I had family visit from out of town to attend a Little League game down by the beach. They justRead More loved the entire area, especially the splash pad and the Sandpiper. It made me stop, look around and appreciate how fortunate we are in East Haven to have such a great place for so many activities.

I'm disappointed with the new format. Doesn't seem to be very user friendly.
