East Haven Arts Commission to Present 'The Little Mermaid Jr.'


Soon, Ariel and all her under-the-sea friends will be performing in East Haven. 

The East Haven Arts Commission announces that the Arts Commission's Summer Youth Theater production of The Little Mermaid Jr. will be held Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27 at 7pm at the Joseph Melillo Middle School auditorium in East Haven. 

The 60–minute musical, designed for middle and high school aged performers, is based on the 2008 Broadway production and the 1989 animated feature film.

The East Haven Arts Commission is sponsoring the production with support from the East Haven Youth Services Bureau and the LeFevre Foundation. The cast contains approximately 25 students directed by college-aged directors Kari Collins, Robyn Genzano, Richard Colon and Lauren Higgins under the mentorship of adult professionals. 

The production includes many of the songs from the Academy Award® winning animated feature film as well as three new songs from the Broadway show.

The performance is open to the public. Admission is $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens and youth under age 12. For ticket information call (203) 468–7164.
