"We Love America Day" the Tuttle School Way

In remembrance and honor of the events of 12 years ago, Sept. 11, 2001, students and staff at the Tuttle School in East Haven held a special program at town hall.

Tuttle School held its "We Love America Day" ceremony and program Sept. 11 in front of East Haven Town Hall. 

In addition to Mayor Joseph Maturo, Jr., also present were new Superintendent of Schools Dr. Portia Bonner; Fire Chief Doug Jackson; Deputy Fire Chief Chuck Licata; Fire Marshal Tony Moscato and Police Chief Brent Larrabee.

Among other activities, students sang the National Anthem, and many read from an essay they wrote which asked: "What America Means to Me."
