Well, all good things must eventually come to an end. And, after three years here at the company — tomorrow is my official last day at Patch.
I gave my notice after I realized it was time to move on in a new direction professionally, and I'm excited about the career opportunities the future will hold.
But, before I "leave the virtual office building," I just wanted to take a moment to thank you, East Haven Patch readers, for being: amazing, engaged, talkative, post-a-tive, fun, fierce, formidable, welcoming, joyful, tearful, crazy like a fox, crazy for just bein' crazy, happy, healthful, sinful, joyful, demanding, critical, bitter, sore losers, triumphant winners, community focused, neighborly, helpful, hopeful, good natured, meaning well, flawed, focused, brilliant, smart as a fox, thick as a brick, opinionated, thoughtful, traditional, vanguards, thinking outside of the box — are the pastries inside the box? — bluetooth-friendly, cigarette smokers and midnight tokers, law-abiding, law-breaking, vengeful, forgiving, hardcore, a bunch of softies, cowardly, courageous, makin' me pull my hair out, makin' SMH, makin' me throw my laptop across the room — and always, makin' me smile.
