Our Lady of Pompeii To Hold Prayer Service for Peace in Syria

This special prayer service is open to the public and those from other religious institutions.

On Saturday, September 7 at 7 p.m., there will be a Prayer Service for peace in Syria, the Middle East, and the world held at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Road (Rt. 80) in East Haven.

This prayer service is in response to Pope Francis' call to all people of good will to be united on that day by acts of prayer and fasting for the cause of peace in the world.  The prayer service, in keeping with the directives of the Holy Father, will be offered in a spirit of penance.

Father John Lavorgna, pastor of Our Lady of Pompeii Church, will preside.
