The following is a press release from the Rotary Club of East Haven.
For the sixth year in a row the Rotary Club of East Haven was serving to East Haven residents a free full course Thanksgiving Dinner.
In addition to serving the dinner to residents in person at 12 noon, the club offered to have the prepared meals ready for pickup and delivery prior to the noon start.
This year as of 11:00 am, the club had 24 meals that were picked up at the Center and 79 other meals delivered to various locations in Town.
This was so far the largest amount of meals provided in the past 6 years.
One delivery of about one dozen means was sent to the Quality Inn on Frontage Road were a number of residents who were displaced from their homes due to Superstorm Sandy, were currently staying. These included a number from the badly damaged apartment building on Coe Ave.
All the full course meals are purchased from the Boston Market on Frontage Road, who provides everything needed including utensils and fully cooked turkeys, which club members carve up on site for the individual plates. The Market provides their services to the club at a very attractive price, which is invaluable to the success of the event.

meals for pickup and delivery.
