East Haven Siblings Question Zimmerman's Not Guilty Verdict

The duo said George Zimmerman should have went to jail.

The big news this weekend was George Zimmerman receiving a not guilty verdict from a Florida jury following the death of Trayvon Martin.

The verdict caused protests throughout the country over alleged racism involved in both Zimmerman’s actions and the verdict. And for at least a brother and sister from East Haven, it meant less faith in the country’s justice system.

“Regardless of race, a crime was committed and he should have went to jail,” Rashida Robinson told the New Haven Register.

“It just seems like justice wasn’t served,” Rasheem Robinson told the newspaper.
