East Haven Christmas Tree Pickups

Public works crews have begun their tree pickup runs. But the deadline to leave your tree out is this Monday morning.

The holidays are now over. And many East Haven residents have already begun to take down their Christmas decorations.

But what do with that now dying, dry and endlessly needle-shedding tree?

Well, good news: the East Haven Public Services Department has begun its annual Christmas Tree Pickups.

That means properly disposing of the tree is as easy placing it at the curbside.

To be picked up by the town, however, all trees must be curbside no later than 7 a.m this Monday, Jan. 13.

Condo owners must contact management to find out the proper common location to place the discarded trees on the property.
