East Haven Business Owner Honored For Energy Efficiency

Family owned cheese company honored for energy efficiency.

East Haven Mayor Joseph Maturo, Jr. presented Richard Kaminski, General Manager of Calabro Cheese in East Haven with a commemorative plaque in recognition of the company's taking part in the  Energize CT program through the United Illuminating Company. Also shown at left is Calabro President, Salvatore Calabro.

Utilizing Energize Connecticut programs available through the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund and administered by The United Illuminating Company, Calabro Cheese Corporation, an East Haven-based family owned cheese company, completed four energy efficiency projects in 2012 and 2013.

Over the next 10 years, the energy efficiency projects are expected to pay for themselves by providing estimated $95,769 saved annually on energy bills and a $56,457 incentive payments.
