Quinnipiac University appoints East Haven resident as manager of card services

Deric Waite, of East Haven, has been appointed manager of card services at Quinnipiac University.

In his new position, Waite is responsible for the operation of the QCard, an official university ID used to access various campus locations and services, including the university’s meal plans. It also serves as an optional declining balance card, which is accepted at many local businesses.

“I feel lucky to be a part of the continued growth and development of Quinnipiac University, and look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the university’s success,” Waite said.

Before coming to Quinnipiac, Waite worked for five years as the program assistant in the FSUCard Center at Florida State University. Waite earned his bachelor’s degree from Flagler College and master’s degrees in international affairs with an emphasis on economics and information studies with an emphasis in technology and networking from Florida State University.

Quinnipiac is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston. The university enrolls 6,500 full-time undergraduate and 2,500 graduate students in 58 undergraduate and more than 20 graduate programs of study in its School of Business and Engineering, School of Communications, School of Education, School of Health Sciences, School of Law, Frank H.
