State Senator Len Fasano Receives CEA Endorsement

North Haven, CT – Senator Len Fasano proudly accepted the endorsement of the Connecticut Education Association (CEA).

“I am honored to be recognized by the CEA as a friend of education,” said Senator Fasano. “The teachers in Connecticut are at the head of their class for a reason.  They are some of the most talented and passionate educators in our region.”

The CEA has 43,000 members.  The organization has endorsed Sen. Fasano in his quest for the 2012 election for the state Senate representing the 34th District.

“CEA has endorsed the re-election campaign of Len Fasano because of his strong support and willingness to stand up for students, teachers, and public education,” said Sheila Cohen, President of the Connecticut Education Association.

Sen. Fasano has been a tireless advocate for children, teachers, and public education. Most recently, throughout the 2012 legislative session, Sen. Fasano held his commitment to support public education by giving students and teachers a strong voice in Hartford.

"Through constant debate and direct communication with teachers, parents and policy advisors I am confident the reforms passed in 2011 represent a big step in the right direction," said Senator Fasano.

“When education reform came to the forefront in the last legislative session, Len really took the time to personally understand how the proposals would affect our schools by reaching out to the teachers for input on numerous occasions,” stated Tom Marak, North Haven Education Association. “We continue to support his ongoing efforts to do what’s best for the students of Connecticut.”

“Len understands that public schools are the cornerstone of democracy and critical to improving Connecticut’s economy.  Connecticut residents will be fortunate to have Len Fasano in the legislature,” said Cohen, President of the Connecticut Education Association.
