NFL PLAYERS COMING TO NEW HAVEN:
NFL players from the Patriots, Jets and Ravens headline the 9th Annual JL Sports/NFL Youth Clinic on June 16 at Hamden Hall's Beckerman Athletic Center. The clinic will be for youths aged 8-14 and each camper will receive instruction from NFL players as well as local high school and youth coaches. Each camper will receive Reebok gear and compete in punting and passing competitions as well as the 40 yard dash and the NFL shuttle.
"I really look forward to coming to the clinic," said New York Jets Vladimir Ducasse, one of 12 NFL players expected to attend. "The kids have a great time, but the NFL guys have just as much fun."
The clinic, which is non-contact, will be held from 1pm to 5pm with registration at 12:30. All proceeds of the camp will be donated to charity. For more information, contact Joe Linta at 203-668-0079 or Tom Kleine at 203-315-8334.
