Tonight's Mega Millions Jackpot Worth An Estimated $93 Million
As the estimated jackpot continues to edge closer to the $100 million mark for tonight’s Mega Millions® drawing, one CT Lottery ticket holder for the Friday, August 31 Mega Millions drawing has a quarter of a million reasons to celebrate—a 5 number match worth $250,000.
The winning Mega Millions numbers drawn on August 31 were 31-40-41-47-48. The $250,000 winning ticket matched the first five numbers drawn, but missed the Mega Ball® number, which was 45. In total, 5,328 winning Mega Millions tickets were sold in Connecticut for that date, with prizes ranging from $2 to $250,000.
CT Lottery officials are urging players to check their tickets.
The overall odds of winning a Mega Millions prize are 1 in 39.9 based. Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 175,711,536 million.
