Joe Maturo boarded a plane at Tweed New Haven Airport yesterday in the middle of the crises the town of East Haven finds itself in, for a vacation to Florida.
We have the DOJ and the FBI investigation on going and this is the beginning of budget time in this town.
Today March 1st all Department Heads return Budget Requests to the BOF Departments and the Mayor is in Florida not here to except these requests.
He isn’t even in Office 120 days yet and he leaves this town to go on vacation. What does this say for his concern for East Haven at this time with its many problems?
I, as Democratic Town Chairman, call for his immediate return to deal with the crises facing East Haven for the good of this Town and all citizens within it.
He did not announce this vacation so I cannot help but wonder who is in charge in his absence.
Come home Mayor Maturo, now. There are issues here that need the attention of the elected top official.
