The East Haven Freshman Football Team tackled the Titans from Sheehan 30 to 8 last night on East Haven's home field, improving thier record to 4 & 2 for the season.
The Easties Offense, lead by RB John Gianfriddo with 3 TD's and over 120 yards rushing and Trevor Angelo, credited with 1 TD and 73 yards rushing ran thier way to a 23-0 half time lead.
The unsung heroes of the game were the offensive line, Jose Magana, Dalton Petroccio, Cody Bourchert, AJ Bouthillier and Nick Defaranos. Gianfriddo was named "Offensive Player" of the game.
The Defense, under the guidance of Coach Matt Fallon, has held thier last three opponents to under 9 points for the third time in three weeks. Noah Parlato, Noah Fiorillo, Tyler Spano, Sal Luzzi and Mikey Griffith all turned in outstanding performances.
Sheehan was held to less than 100 yrads rushing and passing. Cody Bourchert has three sacks and was named "Defensive Player" of the game.
The Easties will face Chesire on Thursday November 1st at 4:30 p.m. at East Haven High School.
Coaches Comment~"Our team played with alot of emotion today. We had two starters on offense and three starts on defense out due to injury. We challenged thier replacements to play at a higher level and they didn't let us down. Now, we have to get ready for a good Cheshire team."
