The East Haven Historical Society will hold its next general meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the East Haven Community Center at 91 Taylor Ave.
Don Rankin from Madison will have a presentation about the Pequot Indian Wars of 1637, a series of historical events that took place in our area almost 400 years ago.
We are also looking for volunteers to give some time to our Society — perhaps an hour or two on a Wednesday, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Please let us know if you are interested (203-467-1766).
Addotionally, if anyone has an East Haven High School Pioneer class book in his/her possession — which you would like to donate to the Society — we are trying to complete our collection. We are missing several editions and your generosity would help us immensely.
(Editor's note: Michael Riolino is the president of the East Haven Historical Society.)
