Roucco has called for the mayor’s return to deal with the crises at hand. I am confused. What crisis are we in EH dealing with? What is the crisis??????
Answer:
How about this problem Richard, American citizens born in this country like these people were, deserved to be treated with the same respect as you and me.
This group that was in the town hall had nothing to do with illegal’s, they are citizens like you and me, but this administration has lumped them all together and disrespects the legal immigrant, like my grandparents were. It was wrong then and it is wrong now. That is the crises Richard. All the haters in this town need to know this and if the Republicans wouldn’t listen to get a discussion going with these U.S.A. citizens then the Democrats in this town will. Let me be clear, a discussion with the legal immigrant (U.S.A. citizens) in this town must begin, NOW.
From East Haven Patch article Immigrants Group Demands Mayor Maturo's Resignation:
"According to an article in the New Haven Register, members of the immigrant advocacy group that is seeking a resolution to complaints about mistreatment of Hispanic immigrants by members of the East Haven Police force, had to give their list of demands, including the mayor’s resignation, to Assistant Director of Administration and Management Frank Gentilesco at town hall.
Maturo refused to say where he was when a Register reporter called his cell phone yesterday, but Democratic Party Town Chairman Gene Ruocco — in a post last night on East Haven Patch — said the mayor was vacationing in Florida."
