Registration is open for First Strides, Connecticut’s Premier FREE Learn-to-Skate program developed by the Greater New Haven Warriors.
The program provides aspiring players between the ages of 4-10 the opportunity to take their "first strides" in developing an interest in ice hockey. Emphasis is placed on the very basics of skating within a safe and fun environment. It is designed for first-time skaters only please.
Players who have previously participated in First Strides or another Learn-to-Skate program should register for the Warriors Learn-to-Play Hockey clinics. All players must register with USA Hockey. There is no cost for players 6 and younger.

Equipment Buy-Back Offer:
All players must wear a certified hockey helmet with full cage, hockey gloves and hockey skates. If you do not own your equipment, HockeyGear.com in the Northford rink has an equipment buy-back program. You may purchase the required equipment for $100 and then have the option to sell it back for $75 should your player decide not to continue playing after FS ends. This reduces your equipment cost to just $3.12 per session!
