What To Do...

Staff members in the office of U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) will hold mobile office hours at the Hagaman Library today from 1:30pm to 4pm. Here's your chance to ask questions or find out more info on issues you may experience with the federal government or a federal agency. The'll be available to assist with issues such as Social Security benefits, Department of Veterans Affairs concerns, immigration issues, and a variety of other matters.

Need some help as you look for a new job? There's a Support Group that meets at the Hagaman Library from 3pm - 4pm tomorrow. A former hiring manager will be on hand to help you polish up your interviewing and hiring skills.  Having difficulty highlighting your strengths in your resume? Here's help.

Seniors - there's always something to do at the East Haven Senior Center.  And if you time it right, you can get your photo taken with the Mayor and have it posted on the East Haven Patch! It's something the town as well as Patch does every month.

In Case You Missed It

The trial has begun for two East Haven police officers, David Cari and Dennis Spaulding, yesterday in US District Court in Hartford. You can read more about the federal charges against them here and here

In case you missed it, a recount was held following last week's Democratic primary which still yields a tie vote in one district.
