The East Haven museum will sponsor its first ever fundraising walk to benefit its 'Elevating the Collection' effort to preserve and protect its trolley cars.

The will host a day of family fun to support — it’s campaign to raise funds to protect the museum’s priceless collection of trolleys which were severely damaged from Hurricane Irene.

The museum will be hosting its first ever "" on June 9 beginning at 10 a.m.

The museum’s goal is to raise funds to build new facilities on the high ground so that flooding will never cause this damage again.

The Shore Line Trolley Museum invites member of the community, and their friends and family to walk the Museum grounds.

There will be four options of walks ranging from just a few steps to 4 miles, so there is a walk for everyone.

The trolley will be available to return walkers to the station if needed.

Beautiful Scenery

Each trail will provide walkers with the opportunity to view the beautiful scenery by the seashore as well as see the location of the "Island," the new home where permanent facilities will be built to ensure that our collection will be protected.

After the walk, participants can spend the day at the museum: there will be entertainment, concessions, and trolley rides.

Event Information

Registration for the event is $15 for an individual and $25 for a family, with the assurance that all event proceeds will support the Museum’s Elevating The Collection campaign.

In addition to registering for the event, walkers will have the opportunity to do so much more by helping raise funds from their friends, family members and colleagues by asking them to sponsor the Walk.
