East Haven Police Arrests for March 20 to March 26

This information about recent arrests has been provided by the East Haven Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Leaha Hardisty, 31, of Strong Street in East Haven, was charged March 26 with disorderly conduct. No bond amount was set and she was scheduled to appear in court March 27. Arresting officer: John F. Finnimore.

Jonathan Elijah Nguyen, 34, of Thompson Street in East Haven, was charged March 26 with second-degree breach of peace. A bond amount of $1,000 was set and he was scheduled to appear in court March 27. Arresting officer: Alfred Maio.

Jeffrey Michael Creevy, 42, of Mansfield Grove in East Haven, was charged March 26 with operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence and following too close. A bond amount of $500 was set and he is scheduled to appear in court April 4. Arresting officer: Craig Michalowski.

Paul Christopher DeFonzo, 42, of Alden Drive in Guilford, was charged March 25 with fifth-degree larceny. A bond amount of $200 was set and he is scheduled to appear in court April 3. Arresting officer: Edmund Vecellio.

Jennifer N. Foster, 28, of Short Beach Road in Branford, was charged March 25 with second-degree criminal mischief and criminal damage to a landlord’s property. A bond amount of $500 was set and she is scheduled to appear in court April 3. Arresting officer: Jeffrey Valiette.

Corey Mitchell Bernier, 24, of Ozone Road in East Haven, was charged March 24 with evading responsibility, driving in an improper lane, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotics. A bond amount of $2,500 was set and he is scheduled to appear in court April 3. Arresting officer: Craig Michalowski.

Matthew Ryan Magaraci, 22, of Penn Circle in Branford, was charged March 22 with reckless driving, disobeying officer’s signal the first time, evading responsibility and sixth-degree larceny. A bond amount of $5,000 was set and he is scheduled to appear in court April 3. Arresting officer: Matthew J. Wambolt.

Jimmy Barnes, 51, of Orchard Street in New Haven, was charged March 21 with sixth-degree larceny. No bond amount was set and he is scheduled to appear in court April 3. Arresting officer: Edmund Vecellio.

Virginia Smith, 51, of Bellevue Avenue in West Haven, was charged March 21 with issuing a bad check. A bond amount of $500 was set and she was scheduled to appear in court March 27. Arresting officer: David Olson.

Bradford William Leete, 28, of Rabbit Rock Road in East Haven, was charged March 21 with disorderly conduct and second-degree unlawful restraint. A bond amount of $25,000 was set and he was scheduled to appear in court March 22. Arresting officer: Shawn T. Hatchel.

Chawn Warren, 38, of Ivy Circle in East Haven, was charged March 21 with evading responsibility. No bond amount was set and he was scheduled to appear in court the same day. Arresting officer: Robert S. Brockett.
